MLSC Funds Legal Services for Victims of Domestic Violence

Special thanks to Maryland Legal Services Corporation (MLSC) for their continued support of the House Of Ruth Maryland Domestic Violence Legal Clinic. Legal representation is one of the greatest unmet needs confronting victims of domestic violence throughout Maryland. Funds received from MLSC in FY09 allowed House Of Ruth Maryland attorneys to open 3,730 cases in which they provided legal information and referrals, counseling, lethality assessment and safety planning and direct legal representation to indigent victims of domestic violence.
