House Of Ruth Maryland Casting Call for the Teen Initiative
Our new teen website (www.youlovemeyoulovemenot.com) is due to launch at the end of September. One of the fun features it will include is the opportunity for teens to upload their own videos to tell us what “You love me” and “You love me not” means to them. We need your help recruiting teens to create our first videos. If you know a teen who might be interested, please share the video assignment below. If you have any questions or want some help creating a video please contact Lisa Nitsch at lisanitsch@hruthmd.org or (410) 554-8453.
It’s important that every participant is fully informed about how these videos may be used. There is a release form that must be signed by every video or picture participant. Without that completed form the video or picture will not be used.
VIDEO ASSIGNMENT (for ages 12-18):
Create a short (3-10 seconds) video describing what “You love me” or “You love me not” means to you. Submissions can be shot on a video camera, phone camera or webcam and should be sent via email or on a disk. The video can be shot anywhere that:
- Does not reveal a street address or location. You can shoot it inside your house, in your yard, in your car – just be sure no address or identifying signs are shown.
- Is quiet. Don’t have music playing in the background or other distracting noises.
The videos should be shot as naturally as possible and shouldn’t seem rehearsed. The best videos are tight shots of the person’s face or upper body but as long as the person can be identified the video may be used. Hopefully, making these videos will be fun but this is a serious subject so please, no giggling!
If you can’t or don’t want to shoot a video you can submit a still picture and typed statements.
Record yourself or a friend finishing the following two sentences:
You love me when… fill in the blank.
You love me not when…fill in the blank.
Each statement should be its own video. So one video will be “You love me when…” and the other is “You love me not when…”. There are some examples on the back of this sheet to help you get started.
Shots need to be completed and submitted no later than Tuesday, September 7, 2010 to lisanitsch@hruthmd.org or Riesett@comcast.net.
**Each submission must be accompanied by a signed release or it cannot be used.**Click here for the form
