House of Ruth Maryland
Young Professionals Group
Mission: The House of Ruth Maryland Young Professionals Group aims to bring Domestic Violence to the forefront as a social issue that affects millions of women, men, and children. It is not just a private matter. Staying quiet and doing nothing is no longer acceptable.
Objectives:
By having a Young Professionals Group, House of Ruth Maryland will be able to…
Broaden our base of supporters and donors.
Create fun events that young professionals will want to attend in support of our organization and mission.
Increase awareness of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) in the population that is statistically at higher risk of IPV (In the age group of 18-24, 1 in 3 women will be in abusive relationship)
Bring together creative minds that will help us think outside the box in reaching into the community and businesses for increased awareness and support.
Introduce young professionals to our organization so that they may explore additional opportunities for involvement. (Company volunteer days, matched giving, company sponsorships for events, etc.)
