FAQs About Donations

Do you take clothing?
We accept new clothing and gently used clothing in excellent condition.

Do I need an appointment to drop things off?
No appointment is necessary. Simply drop your items off at the Weinberg Center Monday through Friday between the hours of 9am and 6 pm. For directions, call (410) 889-0840

Do you accept stuffed animals or used toys?
We do not accept any used stuffed animals or toys because they are often hard to clean and take up a lot of storage space. We prefer you choose a new toy from our wish list if you want to donate something that children can play with.

Do you pick up donations?
We are sorry, but we are unable to pick up donations.

Where do I drop items off?
Items can be dropped off at the Weinberg Center in Northeast Baltimore city. For directions, please call our Main Office at (410) 889-0840.

Do you have other drop-off locations?
No, we can only accept donations at our Main Office location, the Weinberg Center.

Can I get a tax receipt for my donation?
All donors are provided with a tax receipt. Financial Donors will be mailed an acknowledgement letter which is considered a tax receipt. A receipt form is available for donors who give in-kind donations at the time of the donation.

Do you accept cars?
We currently do not accept vehicle donations.

What are you in urgent need of?
For our current urgent needs, please check out our Wish List.

Do you take computers?
We accept computers that are in working order and are Pentium IIIs or above. Please contact John at (410) 554-8441 or jbowers@hruthmd.org if you would like to arrange a donation of computer items.

Do you accept cell phones?
We accept cell phones that are less than 3 years old and digital (not analog). All information should be cleared off the cell phone (i.e., stored numbers, voicemails, etc.) and it should be "unlocked". Accessories like clips, chargers and holders are not needed.
